The fastest dessert

What do you do when your friends call and ask to come by your place in 30 minutes? How are you waiting for them? I am quite sure some of you will say: A bottle of wine is more than enough. I fully agree! 🙂 However, if you have friends who really appreciate your desserts, you want to impress them even on short notice. My advice is to keep it simple, super tasty and, the most important, be sure that it looks impressive. This does not mean that you have to learn some new decoration techniques or make some kind of art out of your 10-minutes dessert. Some fruits on top of anything is the least you can do. Trust me, it always works, especially when you have good music, drinks and lots of fun. Don´t worry about the shot from the beginning, it is already in the cake. Try it out and let me know how impressed were your friends. Enjoy it!

Ingredients (4 portions):

  • Your favorite cake (I went for lemon cake)
  • 3 tablespoons rum
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla powder
  • Juice from 1 lemon
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 250 g mascarpone cheese
  • 250 g whipped cream
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 250 g fruit yoghurt (I went for cherry flavor)
  • Your favorite fruits (I went for grapes to match the yoghurt color)

Transform your chosen cake into cake crumbs and fill the bottom of each of the 4 bowls.

Mix the rum, the vanilla powder, the lemon juice and the water.

Pour the magic solution on the cake crumbs to make them fluffy and dizzy. In a separate bowl prepare the whipped cream adding the sugar step by step and then add the mascarpone cheese.

The formed cream goes on top of the cake crumbs. For some fruity flavor add 2-3 tablespoons of yoghurt on top. Decorate it with your favorite fruits.

Serve it with your friends or alone. It is nothing bad in giving you a treat from time to time.

Made with love,
